Perfect for pruning or weeding jobs, the Fiskars Kangaroo 30-gallon gardening container holds itself open, freeing your hands for work. The Kangaroo's unique spring design springs up to a 22-inch diameter, 30-gallon capacity, just waiting to be filled with weeds, pruned branches, or raked leaves. When you're done, the container can be collapsed and stored easily in a compact, ready-to-hang 3-inch stack. The heavy-gauge vinyl construction is tear and mildew resistant, and the Kangaroo fits standard 30-gallon garbage can liners. The container weighs just 4-1/2 pounds. It is covered by a 2-year warranty.

My absolute favorite and useful garden product. This very light weight and versatile yard trimmings container has been dragged from front, to side, to rear yard, without spilling its contents and with true ease. The self-standing feature, wide opening, and ease of dumping by use of very well-placed cloth handles (including midway down the container) make yard clean-up and shrubbery trimming something I now look forward to. The days of dragging around a large, bulky trash container and then trying to grab leaves, branches, etc. between two rakes and throw them in the direction of the container are gone! Thank you Fiskars. My only disappointment is not having several more "loops" around the top rim to hold larger cutting tools such as loppers while I am dragging the Kangaroo to another part of the yard. The Kangaroo is collapsible with buttons and loops for holding it in the collapsed position. The loops double as small tool holder in the open position. And, the inside bottom can be washed out because the container sides collapse. They thought of everything!
Finally, something to hold open those garden bags!

Who would have known! A Kangaroo Bag to help me out to hold those huge garden bags open while I toss in weeds, trimmings and other garden waste. When it first arrived I thought it looked like a big pizza. It could fit into a giant pizza box. When you open it up, the bag has two fasteners to keep the bag closed. It is very lightweight.
If you think of a "slinky" spring idea, that is what holds this bag up when it is open. The wire is sewn into the bag and keeps the bag open while you are working. The green fabric covers the wires and the rest of the bag is made from a sturdy vinyl. It is tear and mildew resistant. This can be used with standard 33 gallon garbage can liners.
This has some great handles to allow you to easily dump the bag out if you are just using it for leaves and have your own compost pile. There are handles on the top and base, so you have three handles, two on the top and one at the base.
When not in use, you can hang it up on the garage wall as it will only take up a small amount of space. You could also just toss it up on a shelf to keep it out of the way when you are not in the yard.
I can think of reasons why I want to buy more of these. Let's see, how about a 10 gallon one for when I am just weeding or how about using one of these for an outdoor garbage can when you have a party and everyone is using disposable plates, etc. I could also see using these for storing items in a closet. Some of the other reviewers also had some great ideas for how to use these great gardening containers.

I purchased my first Kangaroo container early this summer and immediately fell in love with it. It is almost as light in weight as a plastic bag BUT it never flops over, is easily emptied and collapses to about three inches for storage. It just doesn't get any better than this for someone who loves to work in her garden.
Are there TWO different versions of this item?

I recently purchased a Fiskars 94056974 30 gallon Kangaroo Container and the thing is built like a tank. My impression on how the item is supposed to be used is to open the Kangaroo, put a 30 gallon trash can liner in the Kangaroo and fill with leaves and your five year old son. Then, either make one big pile for you and your son to play in or pull the trash can liners out, tie shut (remove son first) and carry it down to the end of the drive way, so the trash guys can play in the leaves. The item is NOT meant to be dragged across shopping center parking lots. Mine holds a full load of squished down leaves without tearing or ripping. By the way, the product is covered by a two year warranty. I didn't read about any one posting a poor review who attempted getting them resolved utilizing the warranty. Anyway, the Fiskars 94056974 Kangaroo Container (30 Gallon) works great (like having a third hand). It is versatile as previous reviews have pointed out. An extra trash can utilizing a liner. How about using one for recycling cans? Place a 30 gallon trash liner in the Kangaroo, squish can, "he shoots he scores!!!" I'm happy with this purchase. It's durable, engineered well, and I'm planning on buying more of both the 10 and 30 gallon models. I expect this to eventually wear out. But, it's been my experience with other Fiskar items that you get your money's worth if you use the item as it was intended. John Row

I bought the 10gal and the 30gal. I love them! They're lightweight, easy to drag around and the handles make them very easy to dump. They fold down to 2-3" which saves a lot of storage space. One word of caution... I dragged mine across a driveway and put several very small holes in the bottom. I am buying one of each for my mother-inlaw and my sisters.
