Just as good as Ultra

| This Unit is very good price and works well. I know many like the ultra because of the metal impellar. I work at a place that sells this unit for 60 dollars, paid 33 at Amazon. The metal impellar is not sharp and will still clog with wet leavers. The plastic impellar is just as good and is designed like last year metal impellear found in Toro 51598 model. I would say save your money and purchase this model |
Loving it

I just purchased this today. Our store had both this item and the 51591 super blower - I think this is simply the newer model. (And I paid slightly less than this price at our neighborhood store so check around)
Anyhow. I went looking for leaf blowers with no idea that these machines could suck as well as blow. Whether or not I will use the sucking feature, I don't know. I just know the Toros were well rated.
I wanted a blower for one reason. We have this tree in our backyard which I refer to as "The Stupid Tree." It drops these little fuzzy brown balls all over our concrete patio. They are impossible to clean up because they escape between the tines of a rake if you try to rake them, and if you try to sweep them with a broom they smoosh and roll right under the broom.
So I bought this blower and went to work maniacally chasing these little brown balls off the patio and into the yard. I am now a happy girl. Not only is my patio clear of fuzzy brown balls but it is also clean of sand that my son likes to dump here and there. Beautiful. I could have swept with a broom for 2 days and not gotten it as clear as this blower did in 10 minutes.
It is light and easy to hold.
The noise level is no worse than an electric weed wacker or lawn mower. (All of our major lawn implements are electric)
My only complaint is I somehow failed to realize the difference between the super and the ultra is, the ultra has a metal shredder. The super has a plastic shredder. I wish I had realized this and gotten the ultra, but oh well. For blowing fuzzy brown balls and sand off my patio, this works just fine. |
Lots of power and light-weight

| (by Angela's husband) I love the blower. I often use it on low-speed because that's powerful enough, but sometimes I crank it up to high and let 'er rip. This baby really blows! I don't use the vacuum so I can't comment on that, but the blower is great. |
Excellent item

| A very good blower.vacuum, reasonably priced. Not too heavy with good power. The bag is designed to be easier to empty than many comparable units. Very satisfied. |
An excellent blower

I bought this blower 5 yrs ago and I love it.
Its powerful enough for drive way job and with some maneuvering lawn too.
I particularly like the variable speed, and the leaf vaccum and mulching.
The problem I have noticed is the clogging when picking up piles of leaves and also impeller breakage but if you avoid picking up stones or thick branches, it should last longer. And a replacement impeller is <$15.00 if you are up to it, though Toro recommends not to open the stuff because of its double insulation.
Mine just blew a fuse hence I am looking to buy another one but I prefer replacement parts if I can find one since I dont want to duplicate my accessories.
I will recommend this anytime for its reliability and durability. |
